About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Inventory Control Clerk to join our team at J L Trading Co Ltd.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inventory Management: Provide accurate and timely information on available materials to internal stakeholders.
  • Supplier Relations: Resolve delivery and other problems with suppliers in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Inventory Verification: Verify stock availability from current inventories to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Reporting: Compile and analyze inventory reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Inventory Monitoring: Monitor inventory levels of issued materials and stocks to prevent overstocking or understocking.
  • Record Keeping: Accurately record the quantity, type, and value of stock on hand using our computerized inventory system.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Assist with immediate settlement needs of newcomers and/or refugees, including housing, transportation, and other essential services.
  • Cross-Cultural Training: Provide diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees.
  • Youth Support: Offer on-the-job training and mentorship opportunities to youth, as well as provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment.
  • Indigenous Support: Offer mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for Indigenous workers, and provide cultural competency training to all employees.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
