Lead Semiconductor Process Specialist

POSITION OVERVIEW
The Senior Process Analyst plays a pivotal role in significant initiatives and projects led by our client-facing team, concentrating on the evaluation of devices manufactured with state-of-the-art semiconductor processing technologies. With extensive experience and knowledge in semiconductor logic technologies, you will execute lithography assessments and process flow simulations, utilizing insights derived from device architecture, layout, material evaluation, and critical dimensions acquired through reverse engineering techniques. Beyond technical evaluations and report generation, you will be instrumental in tracking technological trends, ensuring our team remains at the cutting edge of innovation within the semiconductor industry.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide Expertise in Semiconductor Process Evaluation Develop process flows and create process flow simulations. Measure critical dimensions accurately. Annotate images based on findings from reverse engineering. Prepare detailed reports based on analytical outcomes.
Conduct Meta-Analysis of Analytical Results Compare findings across various generations and foundries. Create technical articles that explain the contextual importance of analytical results. Produce video presentations that outline the current state and future outlook of semiconductor processing for logic devices.
Provide Guidance to Fellow Analysts Mentor and support fellow analysts in evaluating reverse engineering results. Assist broader project teams by sharing insights on technological trends, process/materials analysis, research, and documentation. Address client inquiries related to published reports.
QUALIFICATIONS
Master's or Ph.D. in a relevant discipline (Physics, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, etc.) Profound understanding of semiconductor devices, quantum physics, and channel/junction engineering. In addition to your academic credentials, a minimum of 5 years of industry experience in a foundry in at least one of the following areas: Semiconductor unit processes and associated equipment including Photolithography, Plasma Etching, Diffusion/CVD/Metal, ion implantation, CMP, and wet cleaning. Knowledge and experience in interpreting results from analytical techniques including SEM, TEM, EDS, EELS, SIMS, FTIR, Raman, SRP, understanding the limitations and advantages of each method. Familiarity with semiconductor transistor/die/wafer/package level testing, quality control, and six sigma methodologies, SPC, and DOE. Strong analytical capabilities coupled with the ability to manage multiple information sources. Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills. Acknowledged as a technical authority within the organization. Proactively identifies internal and external business challenges, vendor, and/or regulatory issues; recommends enhancements to processes, products, or services.
