Job Title: Cook 2

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cook 2 to join our culinary team at Pickering Casino Resort. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and cook a variety of menu items to order, ensuring consistency and quality.
  • Manage kitchen inventory, ordering supplies, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient service and high-quality food presentation.
  • Assist with menu planning, food preparation, and presentation to ensure exceptional guest experiences.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment, adhering to all food safety and sanitation regulations.
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary education in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum three years of kitchen experience, with at least one year in a casino environment.
  • Completion of Safe Food Handling course or Safe Food Handler Certificate.
  • Supervisory experience an asset.
  • Strong knife handling skills and knowledge of HACCP.
  • Smart Serve Certified and WHMIS trained.
  • Ability to multi-task and excel in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
