- Supervision: Oversee the performance of healthcare aides, ensuring quality care and efficient service delivery based on resident and site requirements.
- Medication Management: Coordinate with pharmacies for prescription orders and maintain adequate supplies of medications and nursing materials for all shifts.
- Education and Support: Provide thorough explanations of procedures to residents and their families, assisting them in understanding health conditions and enhancing patient care.
- Emergency Response: Assist in emergency situations under the guidance of supervisory staff.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Experience in gerontology is preferred.
- Current registration in good standing with the appropriate regulatory body.
- Certification in CPR/BCLS for healthcare providers.
- Strong organizational and computer skills, with the ability to engage in critical thinking and self-directed learning.
- A commitment to person-centered care and awareness of safety protocols.
- The physical capability to perform duties that involve standing, bending, lifting, and moving throughout the shift.
