About the Role

Athletics Canada is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dietitian to join our team as a Nutrition Specialist for the East Hub. This is a unique opportunity to work with high-performance athletes and contribute to the success of our national teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide nutrition support to high-performance athletes at the East Hub, including individual and group consultations, and remote support as needed.
  • Develop and implement nutrition plans and interventions in consultation with coaching staff and other members of the Integrated Support Team.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of nutrition plans and make adjustments as needed.
  • Collaborate with other members of the AC Nutrition team to share resources and best practices.
  • Provide leadership and education to athletes and coaching staff on performance nutrition topics.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest research and developments in sports nutrition and apply this knowledge to support athlete performance.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary degree in a health science related field and/or nutrition.
  • Registration with the College of Ontario Dietitians and valid liability insurance.
  • Experience working with high-performance athletes and a strong understanding of sports nutrition principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with athletes, coaching staff, and other members of the Integrated Support Team.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Working Conditions

This position is based at the AC East Hub, York University, Toronto and requires occasional work outside of regular hours. The successful candidate will be required to work collaboratively with other members of the AC team and to maintain confidentiality and discretion when working with athletes and coaching staff.
