Continuous Instructor, Industrial Mechanic

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Continuous Instructor to join our team at NAIT (Northern Alberta Institute of Technology). As an Industrial Mechanic Instructor, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality education and training to our students.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and deliver curriculum for Industrial Mechanic programs, ensuring it is relevant, up-to-date, and aligned with industry standards.
- Prepare and present learning outcomes and activities in a classroom, laboratory, and industry setting.
- Participate in curriculum development, program reviews, and course reviews to ensure the highest quality of education.
- Facilitate the learning process by utilizing instructional strategies that ensure efficient and effective delivery of course materials.
- Manage instructional delivery online and in a face-to-face environment, setting the tone and climate for a safe and effective learning environment.
- Create assessment tools to evaluate the learning process and maintain progress records.
- Provide early and ongoing coaching and tutoring for students to maximize student success and retention.
- Respond to student issues and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Utilize appropriate educational technology for presentations, communications, and program promotions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date program and student records.
- Maintain professional and ethical relationships with students, colleagues, and industry partners.
- Actively participate in the strategies of NAIT 2021, NAIT's Strategic Plan, and NAIT's Academic Plan as identified by the institute.
- Utilize regular student feedback to identify and implement instructional improvement.
- Improve the quality of instruction through professional development activities.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a related Alberta Journeyperson certificate or provincial equivalent, including Inter-Provincial Red Seal (an asset).
- Minimum 5 years of recent industry experience after completion of Journeyperson certificate.
- Teaching experience (an asset).
