Northern Reflections Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Shift Leader to join our retail team. As a Shift Leader, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our store during your assigned shift. Your primary responsibility will be to assist the Store Management Team in achieving sales results, providing coaching and guidance to sales associates, and maintaining visual standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Store Management Team in delivering sales budgets and key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Meet or exceed daily personal sales goals and KPIs
  • Provide exceptional customer service and utilize Fundamental Selling Skills to drive sales
  • Maintain store operations standards, including timely processes for opening and closing, markdowns, and point of sale transactions
  • Promote campaign goals and sell Northern as a brand by utilizing product knowledge and the Northern name
  • Effectively coach and provide feedback to sales associates on personal productivity measures
  • Process customer purchases quickly and accurately at the cash register
  • Demonstrate open, respectful, and courteous communication
  • Follow company directives and initiatives and work in a safe and secure manner
  • Assist in visual layouts and maintain visual standards
  • Assist in preparation of product and perform various tasks to ensure a neat, clean, and well-presented store
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 year retail/customer service experience in a specialty store, preferably apparel, with some exposure to team leadership
  • Proven ability to attain or exceed sales goals (KPIs)
  • Passionate about fashion and proven ability to build outfits for customers
  • Demonstrates initiative and works well with a productive team
  • Proven ability to inspire, coach, and motivate a team to reach its sales goals
  • Flexible and able to work flexible hours to match business needs, including evenings and weekends
  • Ability to adapt to the needs of the customer and store team
  • Builds relationships, trust, and loyalty
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with confidence
