Key Responsibilities- Hire and Train Staff: Recruit, train, and develop a team of cleaning staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Supervise and Coordinate Activities: Supervise and coordinate the activities of cleaning staff to ensure that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Inspect Sites and Facilities: Conduct regular inspections of our facilities to ensure that they meet our high standards of cleanliness and safety.
- Recommend Additional Services: Identify areas where additional services may be required, such as painting, repair work, or replacement of furnishings and equipment.
- Assist Cleaners: Assist cleaning staff in performing their duties and provide guidance and support as needed.
- Coordinate with Other Departments: Coordinate with other departments to ensure that our facilities are maintained to the highest standards.
- Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
- Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a supervisory or management role.
- Language: English is the primary language spoken in this role.
- Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
- Recruit and Support: Recruit and support newcomers and refugees who have been displaced by conflict or natural disaster.
- Foreign Credential Recognition: Support newcomers and refugees with foreign credential recognition.
- Mentorship Programs: Offer mentorship programs that pair newcomers and refugees with experienced employees.
- Diversity and Cross-Cultural Training: Provide diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and refugees.
- Mentorship and Coaching: Offer mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities for Indigenous workers.
- Relationships with Indigenous Communities: Develop and maintain relationships with Indigenous communities, Indigenous-owned businesses, and organizations.
- Cultural Competency Training: Provide cultural competency training and awareness training to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
- Elder Support: Facilitate access to Elders who can offer support and guidance to Indigenous workers.
- Hiring Policies: Apply hiring policies that discourage discrimination against members of visible minorities.
- Mentorship Programs: Offer mentorship programs that pair members of visible minorities with experienced employees.
- Diversity and Cross-Cultural Training: Provide diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for members of visible minorities.
