About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Smitty's Family Restaurant and Lounge. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our restaurant, ensuring that our high standards of quality and customer service are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of a team of 5-10 staff members, providing guidance and support to ensure that they are meeting their job responsibilities.
    • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to ensure that they are equipped to provide excellent customer service.
  • Operations Management
    • Establish methods to meet work schedules and ensure that food and service meet quality control standards.
    • Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation and maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
    • Prepare and submit reports to management on a regular basis.
  • Customer Service
    • Ensure that all customers receive excellent service and that their needs are met in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Work Environment
    • Work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of attention to detail.
    • Stand for extended periods and be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a supervisory role in the food service industry.
  • Personal Qualities
    • Flexibility and ability to work in a team environment.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
