Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Duty Medical Technologist to join our team at Shared Health. As a key member of our Diagnostic Imaging department, you will be responsible for performing assigned Diagnostic duties in accordance with your scope of training and experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient/resident care and technical, administrative, and operational support functions as part of the multi-disciplinary team approach of service delivery.
  • Maintain a safe environment in accordance with professional and provincial guidelines and ensure compliance with quality assurance programs and maintain standards put forth by Accreditation.
  • Rotate through various workstations as required and participate in standby and callback duty as needed.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an approved Medical Radiography program with attained certification by the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT).
  • Must have completed or presently be registered in courses in Cross Sectional Anatomy and/or Computed Tomography, working towards completion of CAMRT Computed Tomography Imaging Certificate (CTIC).
  • Successful completion of an accredited Medical Imaging Technology Program, eligible for registration with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (C.A.M.R.T.) and registration with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (C.A.M.R.T.) within three months of hire.
  • Must maintain CPR certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • At least two (2) years' experience as a General Duty Radiography Technologist in a large Radiography/Computed Tomography department.
  • Windows computer environment required.
  • Microsoft Office programs preferred.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both written and oral.
