Job Summary:

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to assess and treat neurological patients in acute and complex medical programs. The ideal candidate will have experience working with patients in an inpatient setting and possess strong cognitive and perceptual assessment and treatment skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess and treat neurological patients in acute and complex medical programs
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Conduct cognitive and perceptual assessments and develop treatment plans to address cognitive deficits
  • Develop and implement compensatory strategies to enhance patient independence
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
Requirements:
  • Registered with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario
  • Member of the Canadian Occupational Therapy Association or Ontario Society of Occupational Therapists preferred
  • Experience working with neurological conditions required
  • Cognitive and perceptual assessment and treatment skills
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills
  • Excellent organizational abilities with proven time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
