Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate client requirements and assist in the design of low and medium voltage electrical systems;
  • Create electrical schematics and control system frameworks;
  • Develop process and instrumentation diagrams;
  • Engage in equipment selection adhering to electrical standards and regulations;
  • Conduct assembly and testing of prototypes;
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation;
  • Prepare for and participate in design evaluations;
  • Generate necessary production documentation (BOM, electrical schematics, specifications);
  • Facilitate clear technical communication with clients and project stakeholders;
  • Collaborate with suppliers on technical solution development;
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related discipline;
  • Experience in electrical design;
  • Proficiency in electrical drawing software such as AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks Electrical, EPlan, CATIA (cables and harness module);
  • Experience in HMI/PLC programming is advantageous;
  • Knowledge of electric vehicles is a plus;
  • Eligibility for membership in the Quebec Order of Engineers is beneficial;
  • A passion for design, electrical engineering, and tackling technical challenges;
  • A desire to work in product development;
  • Willingness to travel for short, medium, or extended periods.
