We are seeking a highly experienced and innovative Director, Talent Development and Innovation to lead our global talent development initiatives. As a key member of our Human Resources team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating effective learning solutions that enhance employee performance, career confidence, and drive business results.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and Implement Learning Strategies: Design and implement innovative learning solutions that align with our business objectives and support our Manager Effectiveness strategy.
- Lead a High-Performing Team: Lead a team of Talent Development professionals to deliver on the global training needs of Sun Life employees.
- Collaborate with Stakeholders: Partner with internal stakeholders, including Talent Management, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, and Business Leaders, to design and deliver learning solutions that meet business needs.
- Stay Ahead of the Curve: Maintain a current understanding of trends, systems, technologies, and practices for leading-edge learning experiences, drawing from sources inside and outside of Sun Life Financial.
- Drive Business Results: Implement talent solutions that advance our cultural aspirations, enterprise capabilities, and drive business results.
- 7+ Years of Talent Development Experience: Proven experience in needs assessment, instructional design, facilitation, and learning measurement of competency or skills-based leadership and employee development programs.
- 3+ Years of Leadership Experience: Experience leading a high-performing team and driving business results.
- Artificial Intelligence and Emerging Technologies: Experience with using artificial intelligence in the build and implementation of a learning strategy and emerging learning technologies to support an engaging learning experience for a hybrid workforce.
- Vendor Relationship Management: Proven vendor relationship management experience, spanning sourcing, contracting, and contextualizing solutions to the business context.
- Strong Communication and Consulting Skills: Strong relationship management and consulting skills, with the ability to communicate confidently and influentially with senior executives and internal stakeholders.
