Job Summary:

The Executive Director (ED) will provide strategic leadership and oversight to S.T.A.R.S. Children's Home Inc., a registered non-for-profit agency. The ED will lead the organization in providing leadership to communities, families, and agencies in working with young children who have experienced trauma.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily operations and ensure the effective implementation of programs and services.
  • Develop and manage operational policies and procedures with the Board of Directors to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  • Lead and support the senior management team, including setting performance goals and conducting evaluations.
  • Develop and implement fundraising strategies to secure financial support from individual donors, corporations, foundations, and government entities.
  • Support and collaborate with the Board of Directors in fulfilling its governance responsibilities.
  • Provide regular updates on organizational performance, financial status, and strategic initiatives.
  • Represent the organization to external stakeholders, including media, community groups, and government agencies.
  • Advocate for the organization's interests and engage in policy discussions relevant to the sector.
Requirements:
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, business administration, social services, or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of senior management experience in a nonprofit organization, including experience in fundraising, financial management, and strategic planning.
  • Understanding of nonprofit financials, grant writing, and fundraising strategies; familiarity with board governance and compliance issues.
  • Passionate about the organization's mission, with a commitment to making a positive impact in the community.
