About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Metal Polisher Assistant to join our team at Vaughan Metal Polishing Limited. As a key member of our metal finishing team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest quality metal products are delivered to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Metal Cleaning Equipment: Safely operate metal cleaning equipment to remove excess welds, rust, scale, and other materials from metal product surfaces.
  • Transport Items: Transport items throughout the plant using powered equipment, ensuring efficient and safe movement of materials.
  • Manual Transport: Transport raw materials, finished products, and equipment throughout the plant manually, adhering to safety protocols.
  • Cleaning Solutions: Immerse metal products in cleaning solutions to achieve optimal results.
  • Assist Metal Workers: Assist structural steel and platework fitters, sheet metal workers, metal machine operators, or other metal workers as required.
  • Material Sorting: Sort metal sheets and parts, scrap metal, and other materials, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Excess Metal Removal: Grind or chip excess metal from metal products using hand tools, ensuring precise and efficient removal.
  • Cleanliness and Organization: Clean machines and immediate work areas, maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Loading and Unloading: Load and unload vehicles, adhering to safety procedures.
  • Polishing: Polish metal products to a mirror finish, meeting quality standards.
  • Work Orders: Read and interpret work orders, understanding production requirements and deadlines.
  • Work Term and Language: This is a permanent position, and the primary language of work is English.
  • Working Hours: The working hours are 33 to 40 hours per week, ensuring a healthy work-life balance.
