Automation Operations Supervisor

The Automation Operations Supervisor plays a crucial role in managing the programming, deployment, implementation, and upkeep of all automated systems within the organization. This position serves as the key point of contact between the Automation team and various departments across the facility. Responsibilities include evaluating team requirements, assigning Technicians, prioritizing projects, managing budgets, and ensuring deadlines are met.

In this leadership role, the Automation Operations Supervisor oversees a diverse team of skilled and unskilled personnel, as well as external vendors, while also fulfilling Technician responsibilities as part of daily operations.

Performance Expectations
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and operational system standards.
  • Exemplify and promote company values and leadership principles.
  • Balance the needs of customers, employees, and financial performance.
  • Support departmental lean initiatives and uphold 5S standards.
Key Responsibilities
  • Guide, mentor, train, and manage all personnel.
  • Guarantee a safe working environment and compliance with policies.
  • Supervise the design, installation, and maintenance of automated systems.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams and assist with internal projects.
  • Travel to various sites to oversee work as necessary.
Qualifications
  • Post-secondary education in Automation, Mechatronics, Electrical, or Computer Engineering.
  • Trade certification in relevant fields is advantageous.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in industrial automation.
