Economic Development Specialist

We are currently seeking an Economic Development Officer to join our team in the Economic Development and Strategy Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the administration, implementation, and operation of the City's economic development programs and grants.
The Economic Development Officer will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to establish effective channels of communication and a collaborative working relationship. The incumbent should demonstrate the ability to build strong relationships, maintain good judgement and discretion, and possess the ability to problem solve and mediate various situations.
The ideal candidate will have a university degree in commerce, business administration, communications, or a related field, and a minimum of 3 years' experience in business development, communications, or a related field.
The City of Yellowknife offers an attractive annual salary range of $85,103.45, as well as a comprehensive benefits package including a defined benefit pension plan, and monthly housing and vacation travel allowances totaling $450.
