We have an opening for a Maintenance Technician to be part of our production team.

Location: Cambridge, Ontario facility.

Job Overview:

The primary responsibilities include building, inspecting, repairing, replacing, installing, adjusting, maintaining, troubleshooting, and conducting preventative maintenance on all plant equipment to support manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct mechanical and electrical maintenance on plant machinery.
  • Interpret mechanical and electrical blueprints, drawings, diagrams, and instructions.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation as required.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and external support personnel.
  • Adhere to safety protocols, demonstrating quality workmanship and practices.

Required Qualifications:

  • Certification in Industrial Mechanic and Industrial Electrician.
  • Level One (Gas Technician GT-1) certification is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety.
  • Familiarity with plant safety policies and procedures.
  • Physical capability to stand, stoop, reach, and lift up to 50 lbs, including above and below shoulder level.
  • Basic computer proficiency in MS Office and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Understanding of Preventative Maintenance Programs [CMMS].
  • Ability to troubleshoot various types of industrial equipment, from basic to complex.
  • Capability to read equipment blueprints and schematics.
  • Proficient in safely operating power and hand tools along with related safety equipment.
  • Availability to work all shifts, including:
    • Weekday days: 6:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. (Mon – Thurs) OR
    • Weekday afternoons: 4:00 p.m. – 2:00 a.m. (Mon – Thurs) OR
    • Weekend days: 6:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (Fri, Sat, Sun; compensated for 40 hours) OR
    • Weekend afternoons: 5:00 p.m. – 4:00 a.m. (Fri, Sat, Sun; compensated for 40 hours)
