Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Laboratory Technician to join our team at Shared Health. As a Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for performing phlebotomy on ward rounds and all functions and processes associated with blood specimen collection and dispatch.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect and process blood specimens for laboratory testing
  • Perform phlebotomy on ward rounds, including Children's Hospital
  • Ensure accurate and efficient specimen collection and dispatch
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide high-quality patient care
Requirements
  • One year of recent experience as a phlebotomist is required
  • Complete high school education, Manitoba standards (science courses preferred)
  • Certification in phlebotomy required
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and orally
Preferred Qualifications
  • Preference will be given to those applicants competent in an Indigenous language and/or knowledge in Indigenous customs, traditions and values
