Job Summary

Brunel is seeking a highly experienced Lead Scheduler to join our team in a Project Controls Specialist role. As a key member of our project controls team, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the scheduling function within the project controls area for moderate to high-risk capital engineering and construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Planning and Scheduling: Develop and maintain accurate project schedules, including project planning, monitoring, progress measurement, risk management, and reporting.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and lead a team of project planners and schedulers, providing guidance and consultation to project team members.
  • Project Controls: Ensure compliance with company standards and procedures, including schedule version control processes, policies, and procedures.
  • Risk Management: Identify, document, mitigate, and track potential risks on the project, and determine potential schedule/progress impacts of potential risks.
  • Communication: Develop and maintain effective communication with project stakeholders, including project management, engineering, procurement, contracts, and construction teams.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, business, or related fields.
  • Experience: Minimum ten (10) years' experience in construction management, with at least six (6) years of experience in a leadership role in project controls.
  • Skills: Strong analytical skills, effective communication, and ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience: Experience with construction of metal mining operations, especially with regards all disciplines of construction.
  • Software Skills: Skilled in related scheduling software (Primavera, MS Project, etc.).
