Heidelberg Materials US, Inc. is on the lookout for dedicated, safety-conscious, and reliable Concrete Mixer Operators to become part of our local workforce. In the role of a Mixer Truck Operator, your primary responsibility will be to transport concrete to various job sites while adhering to safety protocols and operational standards. You will also be tasked with verifying the quality and volume of concrete loads in accordance with order specifications, while ensuring excellent customer service.

Your Responsibilities:
  1. Deliver concrete to clients promptly and with a focus on customer satisfaction.
  2. Engage with customers on-site to ensure optimal service delivery.
  3. Conduct visual inspections of concrete mixes for appropriate consistency and components.
  4. Coordinate with dispatch to determine the most efficient and safe routes to job sites.
  5. Uphold excellent public relations while performing job duties.
  6. Keep the vehicle clean, organized, and in safe operating condition.
  7. Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines set forth by the site, local, provincial, federal, and company standards.
  8. Assist with plant operations and equipment as necessary.
Qualifications:
  1. Possession of a Class 1 or 3 license with air brake endorsement.
  2. A minimum of 3 years of experience driving heavy trucks safely.
  3. Proven good driving record (Driver's abstract will be required).
  4. Strong communication and problem-solving abilities when interacting with customers.
  5. Thorough understanding of local and provincial transportation laws and trucking routes.
  6. Basic mechanical skills for minor maintenance and pre-shift vehicle inspections.
  7. Physical fitness to lift and handle concrete chutes weighing up to 50 lbs, and to sit, stand, kneel, climb, and walk on various terrains.
  8. Availability to work six days a week (Monday to Saturday) and occasionally on Sundays.
  9. Willingness to work overtime as required by business and weather conditions.
