About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled EHS Specialist to join our team at Aecon. As a key member of our Industrial Division, you will be responsible for promoting a health, safety, and environmental culture across all levels of employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct safety orientations and training sessions for workers, owners, and clients.
  • Develop and implement safety plans, including emergency response plans and environmental site safety plans.
  • Conduct workplace inspections, behavior-based observations, and audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
  • Update Material Safety Data Sheets and maintain accurate records of safety-related activities.
  • Collaborate with government agencies and external stakeholders as required.
  • Develop and implement return-to-work and modified work programs for injured employees.
  • Investigate incidents and develop corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong background in health, safety, and environmental management.
  • CRST certification and OHS Certificate or Diploma are preferred.
  • Intermediate to advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
