Fraser Health is seeking a seasoned healthcare leader to fill the position of Director, Clinical Operations. This role will play a critical part in shaping the future of mental health and substance use services in the region.
Key Responsibilities- Lead strategic and operational planning, integration, implementation, and delivery of mental health and substance use programs and services.
- Collaborate with various departments, entities, and communities within Fraser Health to meet program priorities and advance the organization's strategic objectives.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to support the integration and standardization of health programs and services, ensuring a systems perspective and a focus on patient-centered care.
- Oversee the development of budgets and financial plans, ensuring that programs and services operate within approved financial mandates.
- Represent the organization in the health service community, civic, and provincial governments, and other external stakeholders.
- Ensure performance management criteria form the basis of metrics for program and individual performance plans.
- Provide leadership to support engagement, respect, and the well-being and safety of staff, through effective feedback, retention strategies, work practices that support work-life balance, and the encouragement of personal and professional development.
- A Master's level of education in a field related to healthcare management, supplemented with seven (7) to ten (10) years' recent related, progressively responsible leadership experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Demonstrated leadership practices of the Fraser Health Leadership Framework of Clear, Caring, and Courageous, and the ability to create conditions for people to succeed.
- Professional/Technical Capabilities:
- Demonstrated leadership in roles to lead and move forward complex organizational change issues across health service needs which support broad transformational objectives.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities to incorporate department/site needs within the broader context of the health delivery system and multiple site/service requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to work and lead within a matrix reporting structure.
- Sound working knowledge of planning concepts related to service delivery, budgetary, staffing, quality, and strategic initiatives.
- Proven presentation skills within a senior leadership capacity.
- Proven proficiency of leading practice in the field of healthcare leadership.
