Director Community Support Services

Seeking a seasoned professional to lead our Community Support Services team. As Director, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to engage with the community, build relationships with stakeholders, and drive philanthropic growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute community engagement strategies to build relationships with donors, volunteers, and community partners.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Leadership Team to drive philanthropic growth and community development initiatives.
  • Manage and lead a team of community support services professionals to achieve strategic objectives.
  • Build and maintain relationships with community stakeholders, including donors, volunteers, and community partners.
  • Develop and implement programs to engage with the community, promote the organization's mission, and build relationships with stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 7 years of increasing responsibility in stewardship, community engagement, and philanthropic development.
  • Lives or works in Oakville and is familiar with the evolving needs and changing demographics of the Oakville community.
  • Exceptional relationship builder with a positive attitude and enthusiasm for building relationships with donors, volunteers, and community partners.
  • Strong empathy and ability to work with diverse donors and community members.
  • Self-starter with excellent time management skills and ability to address broader issues in the local community.
Assets:
  • Second language proficiency.
  • Knowledge of Community Suite by Foundant and familiarity with Google programs.
  • Financial literacy and understanding of foundation business model and granting.
