Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Housekeeping Manager to join our team at Travelodge Toronto East. As a key member of our housekeeping department, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of housekeeping supervisors and staff to ensure efficient and effective cleaning operations.
    • Conduct performance evaluations and appraisals to ensure staff are meeting expectations.
  • Operations and Maintenance
    • Plan and coordinate the purchase of equipment and supplies to maintain a high level of cleanliness and customer satisfaction.
    • Ensure that safety standards and departmental policies are met, including local health and sanitation regulations.
    • Coordinate maintenance and repair services to ensure that all equipment and facilities are in good working order.
  • Customer Service
    • Respond to guest complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
    • Ensure that all guest rooms and public areas are clean and well-maintained to meet the highest standards of customer satisfaction.
  • Financial Management
    • Maintain accurate financial records and reports to ensure that all expenses are properly accounted for.
Requirements
  • Education
    • College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience
    • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a housekeeping or related role.
    • Permanent employment with a minimum of 32 to 40 hours per week.
    • Fluency in English.
Working Conditions

This is a permanent, full-time position with a minimum of 32 to 40 hours per week. The successful candidate will be required to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
