- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students in individual and group settings, promoting independence and functional skills.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), ensuring a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
- Monitor and document students' progress, adjusting interventions as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Educate school staff and parents on strategies to support students' occupational performance, promoting a culture of inclusivity and support.
- Participate in team meetings, professional development, and other school activities, contributing to a positive and productive work environment.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all professional activities, upholding the highest standards of integrity and professionalism.
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
- Experience working with children in a school setting, with a strong understanding of IEP processes and special education laws.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Certification in Occupational Therapy.
- Experience with sensory integration therapy and knowledge of assistive technology and adaptive equipment.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team, with creative problem-solving skills and adaptability.
