Teaching Professor

Khoury College of Engineering at Northeastern University invites applications for a non-Tenure-Track faculty position in Vancouver, Canada. The successful candidate will join our team as a Teaching Professor in the Multidisciplinary Graduate Engineering unit, reporting directly to the MGEN Executive Program Director.
Key Responsibilities- Teach six core or elective courses per year, including graduate-level engineering curriculum, and be willing to teach in the evenings and during summer sessions.
- Develop course content, prepare academic activities, and course delivery materials to support course objectives.
- Advise students, work collaboratively to identify instructors, and perform service to the unit, university, and profession.
- Instruct and prepare students to improve relevance, rigor, and quality through teachings and course offerings.
- Counsel students on academic advising and other academic matters.
- Respond to unit and student inquiries.
- PhD in Information Systems, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related engineering field.
- 10+ years of experience in higher education and/or a relevant engineering field, with 15+ years of experience required for positions at the associate and professor level.
- Expertise working with diverse student populations.
- 10+ years of relevant industry experience and/or research in areas such as blockchain, machine learning, eco-scale application engineering, cloud computing, software driven networking, and more.
- Commitment to teaching excellence, ability to handle multiple responsibilities concurrently, excellent written and oral communication skills, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
The expected hiring range for Assistant Teaching Professor is CAD $103,660 to CAD $127,000, based upon the position's scope and responsibilities. The expected hiring range for Associate Teaching Professor is CAD $114,000 to CAD $139,370 based upon the position's scope and responsibilities. The expected hiring range for Full Teaching Professor is CAD $125,430 to CAD $153,300 based upon the position's scope and responsibilities.
