About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Light Duty Cleaner to join our team at Darwin Gadioma. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and organization of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Sweep, mop, wash and polish floors, dust furniture, vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies and upholstered furniture, make beds and change sheets, distribute clean towels and toiletries, stock linen closet, clean, disinfect and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances, disinfect operating rooms and other areas, clean and disinfect elevators, handle and report lost and found items.
  • Guest Services: Attend to guests' requests for extra supplies or other items, provide basic information on facilities, pick up debris and empty trash containers.
  • Personal Care: Assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene, launder clothing and household linens, mend clothing and linens.
  • Shopping and Supplies: Shop for food and household supplies.
  • Window Cleaning: Wash windows, walls and ceilings.
  • Changing Rooms and Showers: Clean changing rooms and showers.
  • Customer Service: Address customers' complaints or concerns.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Experience an asset.
  • Work Environment: Non-smoking environment.
  • Work Setting: Optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis. Note: This is NOT a condition of employment.
  • Transportation: Willing to travel regularly.
  • Physical Capabilities: Ability to work independently, fast-paced environment, work under pressure, tight deadlines, repetitive tasks, attention to detail, bending, crouching, kneeling, combination of sitting, standing, walking, overtime required.
