Job Title: Light Duty Cleaner

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Light Duty Cleaner to join our team at Newport Hotel Services Inc.

Job Summary:

The Light Duty Cleaner will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our hotel rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces. This includes sweeping, mopping, and polishing floors, dusting furniture, vacuuming carpets and upholstered furniture, and making beds and changing sheets.

Responsibilities:
  • Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors
  • Dust furniture and fixtures
  • Vacuum carpets, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture
  • Make beds and change sheets
  • Distribute clean towels and toiletries
  • Stock linen closet
  • Clean and disinfect kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances
  • Clean and disinfect elevators
  • Attend to guests' requests for extra supplies or other items
  • Pick up debris and empty trash containers
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
  • Clean changing rooms and showers
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods
Work Environment:

The Light Duty Cleaner will work in a hotel environment, which may include exposure to cleaning chemicals, dust, and other allergens. The ability to work in a team environment and provide excellent customer service is essential.
