La Oportunidad:

WSP ofrece una emocionante oportunidad para un Geotechnical Laboratory Manager. Este rol será fundamental en el crecimiento continuo del equipo de Ingeniería de Suelos y liderará las operaciones diarias del laboratorio geotécnico, colaborando estrechamente con clientes, contratistas y el equipo de WSP para asegurar la entrega exitosa de proyectos. Apoyarás el crecimiento de nuestros grupos de Servicios Geotécnicos y de Campo y Laboratorio, proporcionando orientación de nivel senior en áreas técnicas como pruebas de materiales geotécnicos (asfalto, concreto, agregados y suelos), supervisión de construcción y aseguramiento de calidad (QA)/control de calidad (QC).

Lo que puedes esperar hacer aquí:
  • Coordinar la operación diaria del laboratorio geotécnico y continuar el desarrollo del mismo;
  • Proporcionar apoyo y mentoría técnica a personal junior;
  • Programar técnicos de laboratorio según lo requieran los proyectos para completar programas de pruebas de laboratorio y de campo de manera oportuna;
  • Revisar y reportar resultados de pruebas geotécnicas y reportes de campo;
  • Familiarizarse con los procedimientos de prueba geotécnica de ASTM, AASHTO y CSA;
  • Ser competente en matemáticas para las aplicaciones necesarias en pruebas de laboratorio y de campo;
  • Gestionar y/o revisar proyectos desde la etapa de propuesta hasta la finalización, incluyendo la asignación de presupuestos, personal y recursos, facturación y relaciones con clientes;
  • Coordinar con equipos de gestión de proyectos y otros líderes de disciplinas para gestionar entregables, asegurando que se cumplan los plazos y presupuestos;
  • Mantener y revisar los requisitos para certificaciones CCIL (Concreto, Asfalto y Agregados);
  • Mantener y revisar los registros de calibración del laboratorio;
  • Liderar y buscar activamente nuevas oportunidades de negocio y proyectos;
  • Mantener y gestionar relaciones con clientes internos y externos;
  • Colaborar con contrapartes en diferentes disciplinas en WSP;
  • Trabajar con miembros del equipo para completar efectivamente las tareas asignadas;
  • Seguir todas las políticas de la empresa y procedimientos operativos estándar;
  • Mantener un ambiente de trabajo seguro en cumplimiento con la Política de Salud y Seguridad de WSP;
  • Proporcionar un excelente servicio al cliente y un compromiso con la excelencia técnica;
  • Participar en el proceso de reclutamiento de nuevo personal cuando sea necesario;
  • Participar en Políticas, Procedimientos, Normas y Directrices de Salud, Seguridad y Medio Ambiente (HSE) en la ejecución de todo el trabajo;
  • Otras tareas según se asignen.
Lo que aportarás a WSP:
  • Diploma de Tecnólogo en Ingeniería Civil o educación o experiencia equivalente;
  • Mínimo de 8-10 años de experiencia relevante, demostrando liderazgo y gestión de proyectos relacionados con pruebas de materiales geotécnicos;
  • Capacidad demostrada para desarrollar excelentes relaciones con los clientes y ambientes de trabajo positivos para el personal;
  • Fuertes habilidades de liderazgo con un genuino deseo de mentorear y desarrollar individuos y equipos;
  • Habilidades de Gestión de Proyectos con capacidad para rastrear cronogramas, cumplir presupuestos y plazos;
  • Disfrutar de una combinación de trabajo de laboratorio y de campo;
  • Habilidad en programas de Microsoft Office, incluyendo Word y Excel;
  • Excelentes habilidades de comunicación escrita/oral y atención al detalle;
  • Capacidad para levantar físicamente hasta 25 kg repetidamente, según sea necesario;
  • Capacidad física para trabajar en un ambiente ruidoso y polvoriento utilizando el equipo de protección personal aplicable;
  • Certificaciones CCIL serían un activo;
  • Capacitación en Primeros Auxilios, WHMIS, H2S Alive y Perturbación de Suelo considerada un activo;
  • Se prefiere experiencia previa en consultoría;
  • Licencia de conducir canadiense válida y un historial de conducción limpio.
