Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Package Handler Assistant at Elshahir and Ahmed Import and Export Company Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling and processing mail and packages in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Mail Handling: Sort and bundle mail according to destination, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • Customer Service: Respond to customer inquiries and complete forms regarding mail changes, theft, or loss.
  • Postage and Weighing: Calculate and affix correct postage on letters, parcels, and registered mail, and weigh outgoing mail.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of daily transactions, special deliveries, and registered mail.
  • Inventory Management: Manage and maintain inventory of stamps, prepaid mail, and courier envelopes.
Work Environment

The Package Handler Assistant will work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with regular interactions with colleagues and customers. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to bend, crouch, and kneel, with a maximum weight handling capacity of 9 kg (20 lbs).
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 30 hours per week.
