Job Summary

Apollo Health and Beauty Care is seeking a highly motivated and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our team. As a key member of our warehouse operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient movement of products, equipment, and materials within our facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate an electric-powered counterbalance forklift in a safe and efficient manner to place, retrieve, and move products, equipment, or materials in warehouse, racking, and production areas.
  • Ensure packaging areas are appropriately supplied with materials, and products are removed from packaging lines in a timely manner to maintain continuous production flow without interruption.
  • Manage the movement of pallets of materials and products to keep packaging and staging areas clear and organized at all times.
  • Adhere to all health and safety requirements as required by the facility.
  • Perform or assist with duties of other handlers as required to cover absences and vacations.
  • Ensure the forklift is checked for safe operation before the start of each shift and escalate any safety issues to the supervisor immediately.
  • Be reliable with attention to detail in completing tasks with a sense of urgency.
  • Have experience with counterbalance forklifts in a continuous manufacturing environment.
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Maintain good housekeeping of equipment and production areas.
  • Consistently follow instructions, Standard Operating Procedures, and accurately complete forms and other paperwork in compliance with requirements.
  • Be able to work morning or afternoon shifts as assigned, normally 6 days per week, and work extra hours as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • 1-2 years' experience with a high school diploma or equivalency required.
  • Valid counterbalance forklift safety training certificate required.
Working Conditions

This role will be working in a manufacturing environment with regular exposure to dirt, dust, grease, oil, noise, or temperature extremes. You may occasionally face multiple demands or distractions and have limited or occasional exposure to poor ventilation or verbal abuse.
