As a Construction Labourer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and distributing construction materials, including loading and unloading vehicles with supplies and equipment.
  • Assembling and dismantling scaffolding, ramps, and barricades at various construction sites.
  • Preparing and cleaning construction sites, moving materials and equipment, and engaging in demolition, excavation, and compaction tasks.
  • Working on diverse projects such as municipal sewer and water mains, roads, bridges, tunnels, and other infrastructure.

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

  • A minimum of one year of experience in water and sewer construction.
  • Certification in Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS 09), SCOT, WHMIS 2015, and Ground Disturbance 201.
  • Experience operating compactors and trampers (jumping jacks).
  • Ability to lift weights ranging from 9 to 23 kg (20 to 50 lbs) and a strong safety-conscious attitude.
  • A valid driver's license, along with a required driver's abstract.
