Roofing Specialist

Camelot Roofing Inc. is seeking a skilled Roofing Specialist to join our team. As a Roofing Specialist, you will be responsible for installing and repairing various types of roofing systems, including built-up roofing systems, asphalt shingles, wood shingles and shakes, and masonry or baked clay roofing tiles.
Key Responsibilities- Install and repair roofing systems using materials such as asphalt saturated felts and hot asphalt and gravel.
- Install or replace asphalt shingles, wood shingles and shakes and masonry or baked clay roofing tiles on sloped roofs of buildings.
- Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements and ensure that roofing systems are installed correctly.
- Repair or replace shingles and shakes on sloped roofs of buildings and repair roofing systems.
- Install and repair metal roofs using hand and power tools.
- Install sheet metal flashings and erect and install scaffolding, falsework and other working platforms.
- Education: No degree, certificate or diploma required.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in roofing.
- Work site environment: At heights, noisy, dusty, and outdoors.
- Area of specialization: Shingled roofs, tiled roofs, and skylights.
- Transportation/travel information: Own transportation required.
- Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment, physically demanding, repetitive tasks, and work under pressure.
- Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
- Personal suitability: Client focus, dependability, reliability, team player, and work term: permanent.
