Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Plumbing System Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, installing, and maintaining plumbing systems, as well as supervising a team of technicians.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Installation: Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems, water supply networks, and waste and drainage systems.
  • Preparation of Tenders and Quotations: Prepare detailed tenders and quotations for clients, taking into account their specific needs and requirements.
  • Site Preparation: Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes, and fixtures in walls and floors, ensuring accurate and efficient installation.
  • Pipe Fitting and Joining: Cut opening in walls and floors to accommodate pipes and pipe fittings, and join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, or soldering, brazing, and welding equipment.
  • Testing and Quality Control: Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges, and ensure that all installations meet our high standards of quality and safety.
  • Project Management: Schedule personnel, tools, and equipment, and estimate costs and materials for each project.
  • Supervision: Supervise a team of technicians, providing guidance and support to ensure that projects are completed on time and to a high standard.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Language: Fluency in English, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • Work Environment: Ability to work in confined spaces, wet/damp environments, and various locations, including residential and construction sites.
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding role, requiring bending, crouching, kneeling, and handling heavy loads.
