Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Asphalt Roller Operator to join our team at Alberta Paving Ltd. As a key member of our construction crew, you will be responsible for operating heavy equipment, maintaining equipment, and ensuring the safe and efficient completion of asphalt finishing projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Heavy Equipment: Safely operate compactor, roller, and front-end loader equipment to complete asphalt finishing tasks.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Clean and lubricate equipment, refill equipment tanks, and conduct pre-operational checks to ensure optimal performance.
  • Accident Reporting: Prepare and submit accurate accident reports in a timely manner.
  • Work Site Environment: Work in a fast-paced, physically demanding outdoor environment with exposure to hot, dusty, and noisy conditions.
Requirements
  • Certifications: Possess a valid CPR Certificate and First Aid Certificate.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in industrial/commercial/institutional (ICI) construction, residential construction, or road construction.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with asphalt finishing, fine grading, and sub-grade rolling processes.
  • Transportation: Willingness to travel regularly and possession of a valid driver's license.
