Custodian Job Description

The Burnaby School District is seeking a Casual, On-Call Custodian to work in various shifts throughout the district. As a Custodian, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for students, staff, and the community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform cleaning duties in schools and district facilities
  • Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and supplies
  • Use and apply chemicals, products, and equipment safely and effectively
  • Work independently with minimal supervision
  • Communicate effectively with staff, students, and the public
  • Meet physical demands of the job, including walking, standing, and lifting

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 education
  • Building Service Worker (BSW) certificate
  • 6 months of relevant work experience
  • Ability to work in a multicultural setting
  • Basic computer skills

Compensation:

$30.22 per hour
