About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on transformational leader to join our team as a Plant Manager. This individual will be responsible for directing and coordinating all manufacturing activities at our facility to meet and exceed operational goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of employees to achieve safety, environmental compliance, employee relations, customer service, product quality, cost, and productivity goals.
  • Develop and implement operational criteria to measure the achievement of plant objectives and efficiencies.
  • Implement systematic approaches to delivering and sustaining results.
  • Manage maintenance management systems and proactive maintenance practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement activities and achieve results in safety, quality, service, and productivity.
  • Develop and coach managers and supervisors in a high-performing environment.
  • Initiate critical conversations and provide timely feedback as needed.
  • Foster and maintain a positive and productive labor relations environment in a union environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of engineering degree (preference Mechanical engineering) with minimum 10 years plant manager experience or equivalent.
  • Strong leadership, change management, interpersonal, communication, and people management skills.
  • Experience with process safety management and creating a culture where all accidents are preventable.
  • Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma expertise a definite asset.
  • Strong PC & software skills in Microsoft Office applications.
