Join Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) as a Staff Scheduling Coordinator
Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking dedicated individuals to fill the role of Staff Scheduling Coordinator. This position is integral to the staffing team, ensuring that our healthcare facilities are adequately staffed to meet the needs of our community.
In your role as a Staff Scheduling Coordinator at VCH, you will contribute by:
Managing staff scheduling and timekeeping responsibilities for assigned units and programs, which includes preparing, modifying, and disseminating staff schedules from the master rotation. Analyzing the master rotation and flow sheets, and utilizing an electronic system to allocate and summon relief nursing and non-nursing personnel to address vacancies, staff shortages, and leaves of absence in compliance with relevant collective agreements. Ensuring that personnel with the appropriate qualifications are scheduled and available as needed. Processing vacation and other requests from staff, while addressing inquiries from team members and management regarding vacation balances and related matters.Required Qualifications
Education & Experience
Completion of Grade 12, along with four (4) years of recent, relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.Skills & Competencies
Proficient in effective verbal and written communication. Capable of collaborating effectively with team members. Physically able to perform the duties associated with the position. Strong organizational skills. Competent in operating relevant office equipment.Additional Information
Work hours, including days off and work locations, may vary based on operational needs and the provisions of the Collective Agreement and applicable regulations. Successful candidates may be required to undergo a Criminal Records Review Check.
In accordance with current Public Health Orders, all employees of Vancouver Coastal Health must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 or have received a single dose of the most recent, updated COVID-19 vaccine. Proof of vaccination status will be necessary.
