We are a dynamic and fast-paced restaurant company seeking a skilled Cook to join our kitchen team at Tandoori Express Pizza. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals and individual dishes, as well as training and supervising kitchen staff and helpers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Service: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, ensuring high-quality standards and presentation.
  • Team Leadership: Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, and supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure efficient and safe food preparation and service.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment, ensuring accurate tracking and ordering.
  • Cleanliness and Safety: Clean kitchen and work areas, maintaining a clean and safe environment for staff and customers.
Support for Diverse Groups
  • Accessibility and Inclusion: Provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for persons with disabilities, and apply accessible and inclusive recruitment policies.
  • Newcomer and Refugee Support: Participate in government or community programs that support newcomers and refugees, and assist with their immediate settlement needs.
  • Youth Employment: Participate in government or community programs that support youth employment, and offer on-the-job training and mentorship opportunities.

Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in food preparation and service.
  • Language: English language proficiency required.
