About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Shift Manager to join our team at Mr. Sub. As a Shift Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of food service counter attendants, food preparers, and kitchen and food service helpers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to ensure a high level of quality and efficiency.
  • Inventory Management: Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation and maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
  • Customer Service: Address customers' complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Scheduling: Establish work schedules to ensure adequate staffing levels and meet business needs.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Work Setting: Fast food outlet or concession, restaurant.
  • Supervision: 3-4 people, including food service counter attendants, food preparers, and kitchen and food service helpers.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, tight deadlines, combination of sitting, standing, walking, standing for extended periods, physically demanding.
  • Personal Suitability: Client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, flexibility, team player.
