Job Overview

We are looking for a dedicated Disability Administrator to become a part of our team at People Corporation.

The Disability Administrator plays a crucial role in supporting members with their inquiries regarding benefit plans and managing claims for Workplace Insurance (WI) benefits.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Evaluate claims for WI benefits, including Employee and Physician Statements.
  2. Assess and adjudicate new WI claims, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  3. Process weekly payments for claims efficiently.
  4. Manage direct deposit transactions for WI claims on a weekly basis.
  5. Communicate decisions regarding approved or declined WI claims through formal letters.
  6. Request additional documentation as necessary to support claims processing.
  7. Follow up with Plan Members to ensure clarity and satisfaction.
  8. Assist members through various channels including in-person, phone, or email regarding their benefit plans (disability, eligibility, etc.).
  9. Support Trustees with their inquiries and information needs.
  10. Forward Long Term Disability (LTD) applications to the relevant insurers.
  11. Compile and prepare disability reports for Trustee meetings.
Qualifications

To excel as a Disability Administrator with People Corporation, candidates should possess:

  1. 3-5 years of experience in an office setting.
  2. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel applications.
  3. Strong organizational and time management abilities.
Preferred Qualifications

Ideal candidates will also have:

  1. Experience in claims processing.
  2. Knowledge of Short Term Disability and WI regulations.
