Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Disability Claims Specialist to join our team at People Corporation. As a Disability Claims Specialist, you will play a critical role in assisting members with inquiries about their benefit plans and adjudicating claims for Workers' Insurance benefits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review claims for Workers' Insurance benefits, including Employee and Physician Statements
  • Assess and adjudicate new Workers' Insurance claims
  • Process weekly claims payments and direct deposit payments for Workers' Insurance claims
  • Handle letters for approved or declined Workers' Insurance claims
  • Request additional information as required
  • Follow up with plan members to ensure their needs are met
  • Assist members with inquiries about their benefit plans, including disability and eligibility
  • Assist Trustees with inquiries
  • Forward Long Term Disability applications to insurers
  • Prepare disability reports for Trustee meetings

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience working in an office environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong organizational and time management skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous claims experience
  • Short Term Disability/Workers' Insurance knowledge
