Daily Responsibilities

In this role, you will collaborate with marketing brokers and account service teams to support public entity clients throughout Canada. While the specific duties will be tailored to your skills and expertise, the core responsibilities include:

  • Partnering with Account Executives to devise coverage strategies and marketing initiatives for both renewals and new business opportunities
  • Assessing client-specific risk exposures and determining coverage requirements, while preparing and presenting marketing proposals
  • Building and maintaining robust relationships with the underwriting community to benefit our clients
  • Negotiating with Underwriters to secure optimal terms, conditions, and competitive pricing for both existing and prospective clients
  • Ensuring all policies and documentation are accurate and comply with established terms and conditions
  • Following up with insurers to verify that negotiated contract terms are fulfilled
  • Authorizing documentation for new contracts, policy modifications, additions, deletions, and renewals
  • Executing other related tasks as assigned
  • Drafting manuscript policy documentation, including endorsements
  • Calculating complex premiums, fees, adjustments, and taxes
  • Managing follow-ups on outstanding documentation
  • Utilizing recognized Aon systems and procedures effectively
  • Performing additional related duties as required

This position allows you to be part of a nationally recognized team within Aon's largest industry segment, collaborating with clients and colleagues across the country. The role is available in any Aon office location in Canada.

Qualifications for Success

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial insurance, with a focus on marketing and broking
  • Broker licensing is considered an asset
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively influence clients and insurance companies
  • Proven ability to prioritize demanding requirements and meet deadlines under pressure
  • Strong computer proficiency, particularly with the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a vital team member while also functioning independently with minimal supervision
