Role Overview:

The position of Sustainability Manager presents a unique opportunity for an enthusiastic professional to significantly influence sustainability initiatives while supporting the organization's long-term viability and resilience. This role is crucial in driving the company's dedication to sustainability across environmental, social, and economic aspects. Responsibilities include leading the implementation of programs aimed at achieving corporate objectives such as carbon neutrality and fostering sustainable practices throughout all operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership: Spearhead the design and execution of comprehensive sustainability initiatives aimed at achieving carbon neutrality by collaborating with diverse teams to identify opportunities, establish targets, and implement effective strategies.
  • Data Management: Develop robust systems for the collection, analysis, and reporting of sustainability metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Ensure the accuracy and consistency of data in line with relevant standards and guidelines, and participate in both internal and external audits related to ESG and ISO.
  • Carbon Neutrality Strategy: Formulate strategies and action plans to reduce carbon emissions, improve energy efficiency, and advocate for the use of renewable resources across the organization. Continuously assess progress towards carbon neutrality goals and adapt strategies as necessary.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as a sustainability advocate within the organization, promoting environmentally responsible practices at all levels. Collaborate with stakeholders across various departments to garner support for sustainability initiatives and foster a culture of sustainability.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Stay informed about regulatory requirements and industry best practices related to sustainability and carbon management. Ensure organizational compliance with relevant regulations and proactively address potential sustainability-related risks.
  • Communication and Governance: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to enhance cross-functional alignment and develop communications that convey sustainability-related vision and program details, including ESG playbooks, project updates, and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing sustainability projects, particularly in carbon emissions reduction and ESG initiatives.
  • Strong grasp of carbon reporting methodologies, including emissions tracking and carbon footprint analysis.
  • In-depth knowledge of sustainability principles, ESG frameworks, and sustainable reporting practices.
  • Excellent project management capabilities, with the ability to plan, organize, and execute complex initiatives involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively influence and motivate others towards sustainable practices.
  • Familiarity with relevant regulations and standards pertaining to sustainability and environmental management; ISO accreditation is a plus.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment and drive consensus towards shared objectives.
  • Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
