We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Kitchen Supervisor to join our team at the Ontario Convention Center. As a key member of our food service operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our kitchen staff, ensuring the highest quality of food production, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, including culinary preparation, food presentation, and sanitation procedures.
- Assist the Executive Chef in menu planning, food costing, and inventory management.
- Monitor and control food and labor costs, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulations.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve kitchen efficiency, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with other departments, including banquet, catering, and concession, to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Conduct regular training and coaching sessions to enhance staff skills and knowledge.
- Maintain accurate records of kitchen operations, including inventory, labor, and food safety.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Chef or management.
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Culinary Arts, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in kitchen management, preferably in a convention center or large event venue.
- Proven track record of success in food service operations, including menu planning, inventory management, and staff supervision.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation procedures.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of attention to detail and organizational skills.
