Mechanical Design Engineer

Position Summary
The Mechanical Designer plays a crucial role in driving project success, encompassing all aspects from conceptualization to execution. This includes detailed design development, generating precise drawings and bill of materials (BOMs), and ensuring projects adhere to established objectives and timelines. You will be responsible for evaluating time estimates and maintaining designs within budget constraints specific to the mechanical design scope.
Your Expertise:
- Proven experience in designing custom robotic end-effectors (EOATs) and creating efficient cell layouts.
- Extensive knowledge of mattop and tabletop conveyor systems, honed in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of pneumatic design principles and the ability to apply this expertise to innovative solutions.
Collaboration & Communication:
You will collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure designs align with customer expectations and StrongPoint Automation Inc.'s proposals. Your exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, will be instrumental in fostering effective teamwork and clear project understanding.
Technical Proficiency:
- A College Diploma in a Mechanical Discipline or a University Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 3-4 years of experience in designing factory automation and conveyor systems.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and 3D parametric design software is essential.
