Senior Backend Developer - Microservices

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Backend Developer to join our talented team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in designing, developing, and maintaining the robust backend infrastructure that powers our mobile applications.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, maintain, and enhance microservices using the Spring framework to support our self-serve mobile application platform.
  • Collaborate closely with mobile and backend development teams, adhering to agile product and software development methodologies.
  • Work effectively with cross-functional teams, including product and technology specialists, across the organization.
  • Contribute innovative solutions to complex technical challenges.
  • Prepare comprehensive documentation as needed.
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Minimum 4 years of experience with Java 1.8+ and functional programming concepts (Streams).
  • 7+ years of hands-on experience with the Spring framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC).
  • Proven expertise in designing microservices architectures and APIs.
  • Strong proficiency in Junit & Mockito for unit testing.
  • Familiarity with Docker, Postman, and SoapUI for development and testing.
  • Experience working within agile development environments.
  • Proven ability to design, develop, and document APIs using Swagger, OpenAPI, Redoc, or similar tools.
  • Experience in writing automated unit and integration tests.
  • Proficiency with Git for source code management.
  • Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile work environment.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
  • Functional programming experience with Completable Futures.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to triage and troubleshoot issues effectively.
  • Excellent prioritization skills and a proven track record of delivering projects on time.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
