Security Professionals are tasked with delivering support, compassion, customer service, and ensuring public safety for healthcare personnel, visitors, clients, and patients alike. The dynamic settings our Security Professionals navigate can be both rewarding and stimulating, yet they can also present stressful situations. Our top-tier Healthcare managers offer around-the-clock support, focusing on proactive risk mitigation and real-time incident response guidance.

What qualities make you an excellent candidate for Healthcare Security?
  • You possess strong verbal and written communication abilities, outstanding interpersonal skills, and demonstrated conflict de-escalation techniques.

  • You are capable of fulfilling all physical demands of the role, including walking up to 20 km per shift, navigating stairs, and managing 30-pound doors.
  • You have flexible availability and are prepared to work both day and night shifts on a 4 on, 4 off schedule, typically involving 2 days followed by 2 nights, then 4 days off.
  • You hold a valid AB Security license or are willing to obtain one before starting your role with Paladin Security.
A typical day for a Healthcare Safety Officer includes:

While your specific responsibilities may vary based on your assignment, you can anticipate engaging in the following tasks:
  • Managing access control to and from the facility, including restricted areas.
  • Monitoring and responding to incidents identified via surveillance.
  • Conducting facility patrols to identify risks such as unsecured doors, blocked exits, mechanical issues, hazardous materials, and security violations.
  • Responding to alarms and emergency assistance requests.
  • Investigating and documenting any irregularities encountered during your duties.
  • Ensuring patient safety by monitoring and reporting incidents as necessary.
