Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Health Care Aide to join our team at Carewest Innovative Healthcare. As an unregulated member of the interprofessional healthcare team, you will provide on-going client care, observing, monitoring, and reporting on client status/condition, including changes in physical and emotional status.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver prescribed medications accurately as per policy and procedure
  • Ensure changes in client status are reported to the Registered Nurse (RN) and/or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
  • Maintain professional and ethical standards at all times
  • Perform other related duties as required
Requirements
  • Graduation from Grade 12 is required, plus graduation from an Alberta Government recognized Health Care Aide program
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English is required
  • Must be physically capable of managing the frequent lifting, transferring, and repositioning of clients
  • Active and current registration in the Alberta HCA Directory is required
